We had an unforgettable experience at this luxurious hotel. The design and layout of the rooms were perfect, catering specifically for couples with double showers, double baths, and a private plunge pool overlooking a water hole visited by giraffes and other fascinating animals. The staff were amazing, and the food was exceptional. Our butler, Unathi, made our stay extremely enjoyable, and our game driver, Nonny, was incredibly knowledgeable and made the game drives fun and interesting. The hotel offered a variety of private spaces to enjoy, and we particularly loved the sundowners. The game drives were a highlight, and we were lucky enough to see the big five and even more wildlife!

We would highly recommend this hotel to everyone.

We had an amazing experience at Safari Lodge in the Amakhala Game Reserve. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with exceptional service and attention. Our game drives with Martin were excellent, as he shared his extensive knowledge about the wildlife in the area. We had the opportunity to witness incredible moments, such as 20 elephants passing right by us on the road. The tranquility and service at the lodge were top-notch, making it a truly unforgettable stay. Cons: Liked everything! 👍.

The value for money at Safari Lodge was excellent - we had a great experience without breaking the bank. The room was amazing, with a unique half-tent style that combined luxury with an authentic safari feel. The location was perfect, with a direct view of the watering hole from our room where we spotted giraffes, antelope, warthogs, and even the famous elephant Norman. The staff were incredibly attentive and made us feel truly cared for during our stay.

The hotel breakfast menu could have been improved with more variety and options to choose from.

The decoration at Safari Lodge was exquisite, with a touch of elegance that made me feel like I was staying in a luxurious African retreat. The general areas were thoughtfully designed, offering plenty of comfortable seating for us seniors to relax and enjoy the stunning views of the reserve. I also appreciated how accessible the hotel was for senior people, with ramps and handrails provided to ensure our safety and ease of movement throughout the premises.

I would have liked to see more activities specifically tailored for senior people. While the children working there were helpful and attentive, it would have been nice to have more options that catered to our interests and abilities.

The location of the lodge is absolutely stunning, with breathtaking views of the game reserve and its wildlife. Each hut offers privacy and a chance to observe animals from your window, like the 3 giraffes and the famous elephant Norman. the staff's attention to detail is commendable, organizing private romantic dinners by the fire for winter guests. the knowledgeable and enthusiastic safari guides make the game drives exciting and interesting.

The staff did not handle one guest's lactose intolerance properly, leading to a bad experience with food.

The layout of the lodges was fantastic, providing each hut with privacy and a view of the game reserve. It was amazing to see the animals wandering around freely, especially from our hut near the waterhole. The safari guide was knowledgeable and fun, making the experience even more enjoyable. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay special, organizing private romantic dinners and providing excellent service.

The heavy meat-based meals offered for lunch were not to our liking, and we ended up skipping it both days. It would have been nice to have lighter options like salads available.
